Chronic Headaches
There have been many studies that indicate chronic headaches and migraines often come from the upper cervical spine. (1) Suffice it to say, it appears that up to eighty percent of the people who suffer from chronic/repetitive headaches or migraines benefit from Chiropractic manipulation of the cervical spine. (2)
You can find a few of the articles in our What the Studies Say section. The governments department on Health Care Research and Reform stated unequivocally that use of drugs should be tempered for the treatment of headaches and recommended that spinal manipulation should be more commonly used. (3)
Evidence supports that people with cervicogenic headaches are a much larger proportion of the population than previously thought. They do in fact find sustained relief from their chronic headaches through Chiropractic intervention. (4)
